“How wonderful that no one need wait a single moment to improve the world.”

Anne Frank

School readiness is becoming a much talked about political topic as millions of children are entering school this year unprepared to learn. Research shows that quality, voluntary home visiting programs can make a difference. Home visitors that work with families that have children under the age of five are in a unique position to help parents understand that school readiness begins in pregnancy and continues on from there. Home visitors can also help families understand that they have an important role in building the foundation for future learning. It’s important that we support parents and help them with these programs.

This new infographic from The Pew Home Visiting Campaign (August, 2012) shows how home visiting programs are making a difference! We at the Home Visiting Training Institute are excited to share this information with you.
