Brown Bag Lunch and Baby Talk with Dee
Meets every Thursday from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.    

Materials, videos, handouts, and conversation with Dee for parents of children ages 0-5 years.   Call for exact dates and topics to be discussed.    Training certificates will be provided.  (Bring your lunch and something to drink if you would like).

 

Hispanic Parenting
Meets every Thursday from 6-8 pm

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group
Meets the first Tuesday of each month from  10 am–12 pm

 

Going to School
August 3-17, 2010 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

August 4-18, 2010 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
Designed to help all parents with children ages 3-8 make the transitions from home to pre-school, kindergarten and first grade.   This three-part series will give you the knowledge and skills to help your child succeed in school.  (Cannot join class after 1st session)

Parenting Your 1 to 4 Year Old
August 24- Sept 7, 2010 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

August 25 - Sept 8, 2010 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
A three part series that will provide training and support to families experiencing the dynamic changes of early childhood development.  (NOTE:  Cannot join class after the first session)

Parenting Young Children with Love, Encouragement and Limits
Sept 14 -Oct 12, 2010 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

Sept 15 - Oct 13, 2010 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
A four part series organized into short chapters, followed by home activities at the end of each chapter.   It is a practical, future-oriented guide to teaching and training young children.   Parents play a key role in helping children realize their potential.  (NOTE:  A certificate of attendance will be given at the end of the fourth session).

1,2,3 Magic
October 19 - November 9, 2010 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

October 20 - November 10, 2010 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
A four part series designed to teach a quick, effective method of stopping misbehaviors.   Skills to help build healthy self-esteem are also included.    It is easy to learn, easy to apply and use with young children.  (NOTE:  Cannot join class after the first session).

Raising a Thinking Child
November 16- December 14, 2010 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

November 17 - December 15, 2010 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
A four part series parenting curriculum that trains parents, teachers and children in the art of problem solving and how to resolve everyday conflicts beginning at age 3.   Also teaches life long skills to encourage non-violent actions and helps promote the student learning process at an early age (3 to 5)   NOTE:  Cannot join class after the first session).
