Brown Bag Lunch and Baby Talk with Dee
Meets every Thursday from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.    

Materials, videos, handouts, and conversation with Dee for parents of children ages 0-5 years.   Call for exact dates and topics to be discussed.    Training certificates will be provided.  (Bring your lunch and something to drink if you would like).

 

Hispanic Parenting
Meets every Thursday from 6-8 pm

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group
Meets the first Tuesday of each month from  10 am–12 pm

 

Positive Discipline A to Z
January 5 - 26, 2010 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

January 6 - 27, 2010 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
This is a four part series.    Each session, six specific parenting skills that are problem areas for all parents will be presented.   Specific emphasis will be given to those with younger children (ages 0 to 5).   You may attend any or all sessions.   Attending all four sessions will give parents 24 new sets of skills for coping with a wide variety of problems pertaining to everyday parenting issues.

Right From Birth
February 2 -16, 2010 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

February 3 - 17, 2010 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
This is a three part mini-series that will teach building skills to help form your child's foundation for life.   It is designed specifically for parents of children from birth to two years of age.
Presented by Dee Austin.

 

Parenting Your 1 to 4 Year Old
February 23 - March 9, 2010 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

February 24 - March 10, 2010 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
A three part series that will provide training and support to families experiencing the dynamic changes of early childhood development.  (NOTE:  Cannot join class after the first session)

Building Home and School Success
March 16 - April 13, 2010 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

March 17 - April 14, 2010 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS

Dee Austin  teaches this four part series designed to engage parents in effective learning skills for their children's success in school and at home.    They will also learn concepts that help build healthy self esteem and discipline.    Some materials from the parenting curriculum 1,2,3 Magic will be incorporated.   The primary focus will be on ages 2 to 5.  (NOTE:  Cannot join class after the first session.)

 

Raising a Thinking Child
April 20 - May 11, 2010 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

April 21 - May 12, 2010 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS

This four part series parenting curriculum trains parents, teachers, and children in the art of problem solving and how to resolve everyday conflicts beginning at age 3.    Also teaches life-long skills to encourage non-violent actions and helps promote the student learning process at an early age (3 to 5)   (NOTE:  Cannot join class after the first session.) Presented by Dee Austin.
